The NCS Libraries will proactively support teachers and students in each of the content areas. We will enable students to become life-long learners and aid them in becoming college and career ready. This will be achieved by cultivating a learning community that actively seeks, evaluates, and uses information to think critically about the global world.

The mission of the NCSLibHub is to empower students and teachers to excavate passions & build next generation communication skills through inquiry & exploration.

This will be accomplished by:  

• Collaborating with staff, students, and the community.

• Providing materials, in various forms, for curricular and personal use that are appropriate and support the district’s mission.

• Providing access, both physical and intellectual, to the resources.

• Providing quality instruction on the appropriate use of information.

• Encouraging life-long learning and reading.

• Kindly welcome students, teachers, and other stakeholders. The library environment is inviting to all those who enter.

• Develop college or career ready students. Students will develop information seeking skills in all content areas. Students will develop inquiry and research skills. We will prepare students to be digitally responsible citizens.

• Provide flexibility for students and teachers. The library will maintain a flexible schedule that allows students and teachers accessibility to the resources within the library.

• Involve the community in literacy events. The library will reach out to others in our community to show that reading and writing extend outside of the school and the school day.
