During the off season, the coaches split up the team into small groups that compete against one another during their offseason workouts. One person in the group is designated as the LEADER of the group. That student LEADER is in charge of making sure that everyone in the group records all their weight lifting numbers, their group is in proper attire, and that they know where missing group members are.

Legacy core has discussed a mentoring partnership with the youth football programs around the county. Ideally the a 12th grade student would be paired with an 8th grader, 11th with a 7th grader, 10th with a 6th grader, 9th with a 5th grader. Once matched with this student they would stay connect with these students would be paired until the mentor graduates. Then when the 8th grader graduates and is in high school they will be matched with a 5th grader.
