After graduating high school I attend Georgetown College, pursuing a dream of playing college football. After multiple injuries, I started coaching at Georgetown during my sophomore year. After graduating I continued to coach a Georgetown for one year before becoming a Graduate Assistant and Corners Coach for Lindenwood-Bellevue University. Following Lindenwood, I became a defensive Graduate Assistant for University of Tennessee - Martin. After a little over a year, I took the opportunity to go back to Georgetown College as the Defensive Line Coach. In the spring of 2018, Coach Kyle Boblitt offered me the opportunity to become the Defensive Coordinator at Thomas Nelson High School. I became the Head Coach of TNHS in the spring of 2019.
I am blessed and honored to be the head coach here at Thomas Nelson. Being born and raised here in the Nelson County COMMUNITY gives me great pride in coaching the youth of my home. I am looking forward continuing to BUILD a program that instills our districts LEADER Values in our young men.

Since the Fall of 2005, I have been a part of the football community within our county. That period marked the start of the New Haven Youth Football Association and later in 2008, Southwest Nelson Middle School Football. I have coached players that have played and continue to play for TNHS since the inception of the high school program. As the Head Coach of the SWN program, I have been blessed to be a part of multiple championship teams, multiple runner-up finishes, and incredible teams that include two undefeated seasons.
Players and parents from the SWN program have contributed to the success of TNHS Football and I have been blessed to have been part of that success.
I was privileged to spend one season coaching at NCHS before the opening of TNHS. That season I assisted with the Varsity offensive line, JV offense, and Freshmen offense.
In 2020, I was honored to be named the O.C. for the TNHS football program and have dedicated myself to the continued growth of our players and program. I look forward to working with our young men as they move forward into careers, education, relationships, and life. My goal is now and has always been to create great men through the life lessons learned from football. #FAMILY #BUILDTHEBRICK
During stressful and unusual times, COVID-19, Coach Joe Peake saw that I had some spare time on my hands with my college courses being online, and asked if I would lend a hand with the team.
During my high school career I attended Thomas Nelson High School. I currently attend Eastern Kentucky University. I will be going into my senior year of college this season. I am pursuing a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
I have played football for SWN, TNHS, and walked on at EKU until injuries caught up to me. While at TNHS I ran track as well as played football. I have had the privilege of being coached by many of these coaches on this coaching staff. While being young for a high school coach I have a large amount of football knowledge. During my time at TNHS I set many football and track records; I hope to see many of my athletes surpass these records.
Since I have played for this team and school I take much pride and joy in coaching these young men. It is great to see them grow and build on the culture they have made.
