The ARCOS STEM Academy is an PAID summer research experience that is an introduction to research in STEM. STEM Academy participants work in collaborative group settings to develop research skills and design projects in their STEM area of interest.

When: May 26 - July 1, 2026

Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30 am - 4:oo pm - NEIU main campus

Tuesdays, 9:30 am - 12:30 pm - remote (May 26 will be in person)

Who: We are looking for students who...

• are a first or second-year student at NEIU or HWC (during summer or fall semester, 2026)

• enjoy learning and working with others

• are interested in exploring a variety of STEM disciplines

• would like to start building your future career

All participants will be paid a stipend of $1920 for completing the program.
