Finding and Applying to External Summer Internships

Students in attendance will explore the process of finding opportunities to gain hands-on experience in their chosen field. By the end of the workshop, students will know how to complete successful searches for external internships, and how to present themselves on paper in the form of personal statements, resumes, and research statements. Key information to be covered includes what types of opportunities are available, how to find them, and what attributes internship coordinators look for in students.

In this workshop, students will learn how to develop a comprehensive LinkedIn profile. Participants will understand the importance of a well-crafted LinkedIn profile in building a professional online presence and how it can influence career opportunities. They will explore the key components of a LinkedIn profile, including the headline, summary, work experience, skills, and endorsements. By the end of the workshop, students will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to create a compelling LinkedIn profile.
