This class has no set meeting times; students work independently through the course materials on D2L or a similar platform, submitting their work to meet deadlines. There may be group work, discussions, etc. that students complete collaboratively. The instructor is available for assistance via office hours, email, etc. Check with the instructor or see the course syllabus for details.
This class meets virtually at set days/times when students are “present.” The ratio of meetings and independent work varies by instructor. Check with the instructor or see the course syllabus for details.
This class mixes in-person, campus meetings with outside activities and assignments. This class has fewer classroom meetings than an in-person class (defined above); a significant amount of work will be done outside of the classroom. Students can expect work and/or virtual activities every week. Check with the instructor or see the
course syllabus for details
This class uses live face-to-face sessions taught at two or more locations at the same time using two-way video and audio technology. Students and their instructor speak with each other as though they were in the same classroom.
This class is the most common type of course, meeting on campus at set days and times. Students meet for class and do independent work outside of class.
