Freshman Admission Requirements

1. Students must have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA

2. Students must be in good academic standing with previous college or university

Transfer Student's Admission Requirements

1. Students must have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA

2. Students must be in good academic standing with previous college or university

3. Students must have at least 24 transferable college credits. If the students do not have 24 transferable credit hours then they must also meet freshman requirements for admission

The Laptop Lending Program is sponsored by Title III, Title V Individual, and Title V Co-op.

TRiO

This federally funded advising program serves students who apply to it by providing early intervention and support. The program coordinates with faculty and staff across campus to provide needed academic resources. Target populations include low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities.

CASEP

College of Arts and Sciences Education Program (CASEP) is a learning community for students interested in becoming teachers. The program offers targeted coursework, field experiences, and thoughtful reflection starting in their first year at NEIU.

Student Disability Services

This is for students who had an IEP in high school or who have a documented need for assistance in class such as extra time for taking exams, note-takers, or a sign language interpreter. SDS also provides services for students who have been in an accident.
