Application Process

Application Information 

Juniors and Seniors with a 90+ unweighted GPA will receive an invitation to apply to NHS in September. The invitation letter to apply will be sent to the student email address and include specific dates for deadlines and events.

Applications submitted by the deadline are reviewed by the Faculty Council. Scholarship is one of the four pillars considered for NHS membership, determined by the unweighted GPA. The student application and teacher input provide the Council insight to the applicant's standing for the additional 3 pillars - leadership, service, and character.

Once admitted to NHS, member communication primarily takes place in the Google Classroom and at monthly meetings. Joining the Google Classroom and attending the monthly general meetings are required in addition to completing a minimum of 10 community service hours.
