This week we will begin reading our next novel, Down a Dark Hall. Students will also be working on their research project on Urban Legends.

MATH
MATH
7th grade math honors
Proportional functions went well last week and this week we will learn about non proportional functions. Students will learn about slope and y-intercept and how to graph a line.
Algebra I
This week we students will learn how to write the equation of parallel and perpendicular lines. Same slope and inverse reciprocal slope will be explained and practiced.
Tutoring hours are currently posted in google classroom.

This week in science we will be covering our unit on water In preparation for closing out our unit and 9 weeks. All grades are being updated over the next week so your student will have ample time to inquire about missing work or make up grades.

Honors Texas History
Students will finish learning about the Mexican National Era and take their Unit 3 assessment. We will then shift our focus to the road to Revolution; the tensions leading up to war.

Students will be learning about what goes into a brand this week. We will use our knowledge of Typography and Graphic Design to discuss company logos, websites and product branding to see how these work together in the real world. We will also discuss why a company might choose to rebrand which will lead into the students next project.

Hot Shoe Photography Contest Winner: Anthony Campa
AV Tech w/ Mrs. Leyva
AV Tech w/ Mrs. Leyva
Students will honor Hispanic community members of Ed White by offering them a free photo session. Students will take portrait pictures of Hispanic members of our community and edit the photos they take using Adobe Lightroom. They will interview community members and create a poster for the bulletin board.
