Honors and GT English
This week we will continue working on Nonfiction. Students are working on identifying the controlling idea/thesis and support it with facts and evidence. Students will learn about the ACE method, and they will be using this strategy for their short-constructed responses.

7th grade math honors
This week we will begin our unit on proportional relationships. This is essentially linear functions that have a y-intercept of zero. Will go over the graphs, equations and descriptions of proportional linear functions
Algebra I
This week will discuss the key features of linear functions. We will also review slope from points, tables and points, as well as domain range.
Tutoring hours are currently posted in google classroom.

This week we are diving deeper into changing the earth portion of our Earth space unit, the students will be working in an edible lab (parents with student allergies keep an eye out for an email) to work on building our crust and moving our tectonic plates!

This week we are starting our next unit, Graphic Design. We will start by diving into the Principles of Graphic Design. Students will take notes, do a scavenger hunt, and be able to identify and apply these principles to future designs projects.

Students will explore the different modes on a DSLR camera. We will also open Lightroom and play with its photo-editing features. We will finish out the week practicing using the DSLR cameras.
