Honors and GT English
This week we will continue working on our Anthology project. Students will curate and create thematic anthology that includes a collection of original student created literary works such as poems, short stories, essays, or song lyrics. We will be analyzing, interpreting, and reflecting on a central student selected theme. Students will demonstrate understanding of literary elements, both in written and visual presentation. This project will count as TWO test grades
Due date for Anthology: May 9th

That's all folks....jk we still have map testing and we will be doing a Algebra I overview to end out the year.
Algebra I
The end of the year will end with map testing and the Final Exam which is 20 % of students grade. We will also be learning some basic geometry to prep for next year.

Make up work:
Monday and Thursday 7:45 to 8:15 am

Permission slips have been sent home from field trips and dissections. MAP Testing is Tuesday and Wednesday followed by Dissections Thursday and Friday.
Tutoring hours are available by appointment only for before and after school and are offered during lunch MTWF.

This week we will be starting to discuss the causes of WWII. We will include how Texas contributed to the war effort. We will end the week by watching a WWII documentary.

We have started our mini advertising unit. Students are learning different advertising techniques. Then they will create an advertisement for a product or service using these techniques. The end of the year is flying by. Please make sure your students are staying on top of their assignments and coming to tutoring if they need extra time.

Robotics Club
No More Meetings this school year
Every last Friday of every month, the teachers eat with the students in the cafeteria for NO ONE EATS ALONE

ANIMATION! We will continue to work on our STOP-MOTION animation! We are creating a stop-motion animation using whiteboards and DSLR cameras. Students must work together to create a story, plan how they are going to execute and organize to create a short film adjusting finishing touches in Adobe Premiere. By the end the school year we will open up Character Animator and Adobe Animate. SO MUCH FUNNNN!
DRONE Club meets Monday during lunch.
