Honors and GT English
This week we will continue working on our Anthology project. Students will curate and create thematic anthology that includes a collection of original student created literary works such as poems, short stories, essays, or song lyrics. We will be analyzing, interpreting, and reflecting on a central student selected theme. Students will demonstrate understanding of literary elements, both in written and visual presentation.
Tutoring Hours:
Tuesday and Thursday mornings from

7th grade math honors
We will be practicing and review for the 8th grade math STAAR TEST which is scheduled for April 22nd. Review questions will be on Aware using previous released questions. Review videos can be accessed on google classroom.

We have a busy week of STAAR testing and a new topic in body systems. We will begin this portion of the unit which will lead to early May dissections. I will be sending home permission slips for dissections in the coming weeks!
Tutoring hours are available by appointment only for before and after school and are offered during lunch MTWF.

This week we will be working on a 1920's project. Students will research common products sold in the 1920's and create either a commercial or a window advertisement poster. They will include different ways people paid for the items including: casj, credit, or installment plans.

We are still deep into our history of film unit. Students have now seen a silent film and learned how monder digital filmmaking came to be. We will continue studying the advancements in technologies and how they apply to video production.

ANIMATION! We will continue to work on our Google Slides animations little by little! We are creating an animation in Google Slides, just to get creative with our storylines! Looking ahead, we will create a stop-motion animation and end the school year in Adobe Animate! Lots of fun!
DRONE Club meets Monday during lunch.
