Honors and GT English
This week we will begin our Anthology project. Students will curate and create thematic anthology that includes a collection of original student created literary works such as poems, short stories, essays, or song lyrics. We will be analyzing, interpreting, and reflecting on a central student selected theme. Students will demonstrate understanding of literary elements, both in written and visual presentation.

7th grade math honors
We will be practicing and review for the 8th grade math STAAR TEST which is scheduled for April 22nd. Review questions will be on Aware using previous released questions. Review videos can be accessed on google classroom.

We have a busy week of STAAR testing and a new topic in body systems. We will begin this portion of the unit which will lead to early May dissections.
Tutoring hours are available by appointment only for before and after school and are offered during lunch MTWF.

We have started to dive into the history of film and cinema. Students learned about the contributions that Thomas Edison made to film studios. This week we are going in depth in how modern film and technology came to be.

ANIMATION! We will continue to work on our Pivot animations little by little! We are creating an animation in PIVOT animator, a program that allows you to animate a stick figure. The students have been playing with the program already and now they can get creative and create something they can show off to the class. LOTS OF FUN!
DRONE Club meets Monday during lunch.
