This week we will be continuing our STAAR countdown, we will be learning to analyze and comprehend various text genres to prepare for the STAAR test.
READING STAAR: April 8th

MATH
7th grade math honors
We will be practicing and review for the 8th grade math STAAR TEST which is scheduled for April 22nd. The focus will be on semester 1 content which primarily algebraic concepts.
Algebra I
We will begin our Algebra STAAR EOC review. The STAAR test is scheduled for April 22nd. We will begin with a focus on semester I content which is primarily linear functions.
TUTORING
Tuesday : 3:45 to 4:15pm
Make up work:
Monday and Thursday 7:45 to 8:15 am

This week we will start discussing the causes of WWI and how new technologies changed warfare. We will also analyze how Texas contributed to the war effort.

Students spent last week filming and recording voice overs for their Virtual Tour guide project. This week they are using Adobe Premiere to edit and put together their Virtual Tour videos. Once they have completed this project we will have a Film Festival to see how their hard work comes together. This will also act as the distribution stage and final stage of Production. Students are also completing premiere challenges to hone their editing skills.

ANIMATION! We will continue to work on our Flipbooks little by little. Thank you so much to those who brought index cards! Teachers around campus donated cards to students who did not bring cards. We will create an animation in PIVOT animator, a program that allows you to animate a stick figure. The students have been playing with the program already and now they can get creative and create something they can show off to the class. LOTS OF FUN!
DRONE Club meets Monday during lunch.
