This week will be engaging in character analysis for Down a Dark Hall. We will also start working on figurative language and poetry.

This week we will be finding the distance between points and use models to explain the pythagorean theorem.
Algebra I
This week we will be reviewing for our semester exam. It is important for students to prepare wisely as this is 20% of their final grade.

The coming week will be used for students to prepare and plan their science fair project! keep an eye out for an email next week with all the information on our up and coming event! If you have any questions or concerns please make sure you are emailing me (akocen@neisd.net) and not Mrs. Flowers as she is no longer your students' teacher. Tutoring hours are also available by appointment only and are offered during lunch MTWF.

As we wrap up the 9 weeks we won't be starting any new units. Students will spend this week continuing to develop skills in Adobe Illustrator by creating snowflakes. We will end the week reviewing for our Semester Exam. The semester exam will take place on Tuesday, December 17th.
If you're student is struggling please have them come to tutoring to catch up on missing work.

For the next 2 weeks, the last 2 weeks of the semester, we will continue to learn more through our Career Exploration Unit. We will build a resume, interview our peers, discuss professional communication, research jobs available in San Antonio, and so much more. Please mark your calendars for a Semester Exam over Career exploration the last week before Winter Break.
