Honors and GT English
This week we will continue reading Down a Dark Hall and analyzing the plot development. Students will be having a vocabulary quiz every 3 chapters. We will also be periodically working on our Urban Legends Research project.

7th grade math honors
This week students will be learning how to find the mean absolute deviation from a sequence of numbers. This is the final section of this unit. The test will be next week.
Algebra I
This week students will write systems of equations from a given real world situations. Students will also solve the systems after writing them.

Tuesday : 3:45 to 4:15pm

Monday and Thursday 7:45 to 8:15 am

We are moving into solution and mixtures and we're in for some fun. Your students will have a comprehensive quiz friday for their first round of vocab listed in google classroom. They should have flash cards for all the words. If you have any questions or concerns please make sure you are emailing me (akocen@neisd.net) and not Mrs. Flowers as she is no longer your students' teacher. Tutoring hours are also available by appointment only and are offered during lunch MTWF.

We are still working on file management this week but we'll start applying our organization to all of our photoshop assignments. We're going to be working on naming conventions and file management before we move on to our next unit on infographics.

We have officially launched the Career Exploration Unit. Students will present the business that they created. The presentation will focus on the WHY behind the design elements they chose. They will need to think critically to explain the reason for their choices throughout the business creation.
