Classroom rules and consequences for Mr. Helppi’s fifth grade classroom
Always do your best
Be ready and willing to learn
Be prepared with all necessary materials for class (before the second bell rings)
Use your time wisely,
Follow school rules (raise your hand, do not interrupt others)
Cooperate with others
Respect the feelings and beliefs of others
Encourage and help one another to succeed.
Give sincere compliments
Do not talk if the teacher is talking, or if another student is talking
During independent work, stay on task
Begin work on assignments immediately after instruction
When using Chromebooks, only go to the site/sites as instructed
Work independently unless instructed otherwise,
Have a positive attitude
Raise your hand to speak
Share ideas in all subject areas
Use inside voices to communicate with each other
Ask questions to clarify information
Classroom consequences
If the teacher determines a rule has been broken, the following procedure will be followed in the order listed:
verbal warning
Sentences will be written by the student, explaining what the broken rule was.
Office referral and /or noon detention
Any behavior deemed severe may result in any level consequence appropriate to the behavior.
