Sophie's parents introduced her to her husband Joseph in the late 1920s as he also emigrated from Ukraine, and they got married in 1930. She had her oldest daughter Paula two years later in 1932, her middle daughter Muriel in 1935, and her son Eric in 1945. Sophie did not have a job, but did a lot of volunteer work as well as raising her three children. She had Eric when she was 42, so she was unable to keep a job as she spent her time taking care of him. Sophie sadly passed away in 1980, but her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
