Tumi grew up in the city of Bangkok. Being the capital, it is a very big and busy city. The city is most known for its street life and cultural landmarks. Because Thailand is close to the equator the daylight there is much shorter all year round. When living there Tumi worked in a Construction company. The lifestyle is an "Easygoing lifestyle" as Tumi said.

Tumi originally found herself in Boston on a vacation, visiting one of her friends. She found that she loved the culture here and because her trip was in May, she loved how late the sun went down and how light it was. Tumi loves the lifestyle that Boston has, along with the smaller amounts of traffic compared to Thailand.
