At Merck, Huseyin met a veterinarian named Christine, with whom he would eventually marry. Christine lived in Rhinebeck, New York. Around the same time, Huseyin's job was moved to Boston. Because Huseyin had to stay at Merck to maintain his Visa, he had to move to Boston. Eventually, he convinced Christine to move with him and they bought their first house together. Christine and Huseyin moved on from Merck, and Huseyin eventually left the private sector altogether. Today he works as a professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
