My mother, Hila Krikov, was born on April 4, 1970 in Rehovot, Israel. In August of 2009, she and her husband, Niv, along with their three young children, moved to Lubbock, Texas, where she expected to stay in the US for only two years. However, it was not until 2014 that we moved away—to Massachusetts, where we currently reside.
