Igor and Helen Lasic

Igor and Helen are my friend's parents who are two immigrants from different places, but came to America for similar reasons. They have had similar experiences being immigrants and both wanted to share their stories.
Who are Igor and Helen?
Igor Lasic (left)
Igor Lasic came from Croatia in 1991 seeking a better education, athletics, and avoiding the Croatian War of Independence before it happened.
Helen Lasic (right)
Helen Lasic came from England in 1989 seeking a better education.
Family
Igor and Helen started their family in 2003 with their oldest and only son, Luka. They had their first daughter, Ella, in 2004 and their second daughter, Sophia, in 2006. They have lived in Brighton, Newton, and Needham, Massachusetts. Luka is attending the Rochester Institute of Technology in Croatia as a Freshman, Ella is a senior at Needham High School, and Sophia is a junior at Minuteman High School studying biotechnology in Lexington, Massachusetts.
