When & Where to Find Me

Because Nea has moved to remote learning until April 6, my availability has changed.

When school in in session, I'm on campus everyday. I am in my role as facilitator of 6th grade English for 1st and 2nd periods and during office hours on Thursdays. Other times I am assistant lead facilitator and will support learners and facilitators with academic interventions.

My office hours are on Thursdays from 3:25-4. Other times, such as on Mondays or before or after school or during Tree periods, may be arranged in special circumstances.

What I'm Reading

The Epic Fail of Arturo Zamora by Pablo Cartaya

The first sentence of the first chapter entitled, "Note to Self" is, "I'm officially resigning from love." That makes me want to keep reading. I love that it's about a huge mess-up because I want to find out what Arturo did and why and how and if it's resolved. Plus there's an abuela involved!

Who I Am

I am an always enthusiastic reader, sometimes reluctant writer, and perpetually inspired facilitator. I probably have a book for you. I'm a literacy peddler.

Why I Love Nea

I love our learner-centered, project-based approach to learning which I have seen inspire curiosity, compassion, and agency in kids from their first days at school to their speeches at graduation. I love how much our community looks out for each other in our Nea family.
