Input the address
for Faculty Row North: prn013.music.ndsu.edu
for Pilafian Room: prn015.music.ndsu.edu
and select HP Jetdirect - Socket under Protocol.

Under "Name" change the name to whatever you'd like.

Under "Use" change the option to "Autodetect." The HP LaserJet M610 M611 M612 should appear.

Click "Add."

115 (First Floor)

(Optional): If you are using an NDSU-IT supported computer, open the privileges app (usually the green padlock next to the Finder icon).

In Settings, navigate to Printers (towards bottom of list).

Click the globe at the top of the window.

Input the address prn006.music.ndsu.edu, and select HP Jetdirect - Socket under Protocol.

Under "Name" change the name to whatever you'd like.

Under "Use," click "select software" and navigate to HP LaserJet Series PCL 4/5.

Click "Add."

Boca Ticket Printers

Install Showare Director

Install Boca Driver - https://bocasystems.com/driver.php

Unzip and Run Install_Drv. Not sure if this does anything.

Install printer, Add a Local Printer, Use an Existing Port (USB001 Virtual Printer port for USB), Have Disk, navigate to Boca.ini (in Boca driver folder), BOCA PCL 300DPI

Install Boca Printer Configuration Program - https://bocasystems.com/repairs.html.

Sometimes just installing the driver and plugging in the printer just works (Askanase 2025-09-18)

Windows Installation

Open Settings

Click Bluetooth and Devices

Click Printers and Scanners

Note: IT-Supported computers will need to run Make Me Admin for the remainder of the install process.

Click "Add Device"

Wait until "The printer I want isn't listed", and then click "Add a new device manually."

Click "Add a printer using an IP address or hostname

Select "Device Type" to "autodetect", for "Hostname or IP Address", type

Click Next

If asked for a driver, use one of the following
HP > HP Smart Universal Printing
