What is the International Thespian Society?
The International Thespian Society is the only theatre honor society for middle and high school students in the United States. Being part of a troupe means access to multiple events throughout the year and a network of other student thespians interested in a variety of aspects of theater! Notre Dame San Jose is proud to be Honor Troupe 8196, showcasing the dedicated theatre students of Notre Dame.

Watch One Act plays from high schools in the area! These include published and student-written works!
Opportunities to direct, write, perform in, design, or stage manage the one-act Notre Dame puts on!
Leadership interviews happen the year before the One Act is to take place, but auditions will be on 8/24, 2026 (see home page for more info)!

Bond with the troupe, take professional workshops, and see a bunch of great performances!
Option to participate in the Opening (dance) or Closing (dancing, singing, acting) Numbers on-stage or as part of a technical crew!
