In an era of increasing competitiveness in higher education admissions, finding effective methods to sort and filter out students based on specific criteria is crucial for admissions officers. However, due to the nature of the admissions process and time constraints of reviewers, storytelling is often overlooked during an applicant's evaluation.
This research aims to address this issue by exploring the potential of an innovative software application that incorporates interactive storytelling elements to enhance the standard admissions processes.
Prof. Ronald Metoyer’s research falls under the general area of Human Computer Interaction with an emphasis on Information Visualization.
He focuses on the design and use of visual representations in real-world applications where people must carry out complex tasks or make difficult decisions. He is also a leader in the Broadening Participation in Computing community.
