Tatum Geoffrey-Kimball will be the instructor for Intro to Welding. She is a 2021 graduate of the NCCC welding program who also graduated from Universal Technical Institute for welding in 2022. Her goal is to teach people ways of welding to better their understanding and experience.
During this six week course, learn the proper protective equipment, tools, settings and techniques for mig (gas metal arc welding) and stick (shielded metal arc welding), as well as the safety procedures required to set up and shut down welding equipment. Industrial standards and American Welding Society standards are the foundations of our curriculum. People who may be interested in this class may want to learn just the basics of welding with simple methods to use on projects around the garage/shop or to learn more techniques to possibly learn how to test out with different certifications.
