RULES FOR SPACE RENTAL
Additional charges may be assessed for room damage, excessive post-event clean up required, etc.
Event sponsor is responsible for catering, parking permits, operation of AV equipment, room clean up and returning room to its original set up.
The lobby, hallways and lounges are open to student, faculty and staff traffic during regular operational hours and often at other times.
The event sponsor reserving the space must be the same sponsor that utilizes the space and for the originally stated purpose.
The client is responsible for any and all damages to the building and its furnishings caused by the client, its employees, agents, contractors, or guests.
No posters, charts, signs, decorations or other items are allowed to be attached to walls, doors, pillars, stairways or hung from ceilings of rooms managed by ZTE without prior approval.
No animals are allowed inside or on the grounds of the Textiles Complex except in accordance with Service Animals for Persons with Disabilities.
ZTE is not responsible for damages and/or injury to persons caused by a client’s arrangement with florists, bands or musicians, rental agencies or other outside contractors.
ZTE is not responsible for stolen or lost items.
No smoking is permitted inside the Textiles Complex or within 25 linear feet outside all University buildings Smoking Regulation for University Facilities.
ZTE is not responsible for disturbances during the event from inside or outside the Textiles Complex.
Decorations (when allowed) must be removed immediately following an event.
The event sponsor is responsible for making sure attendees comply with any emergency evacuation. Anyone hearing a fire alarm should immediately evacuate to the sidewalk across from 1020 Main Campus Drive or the brickyard plaza on top of the MRC parking deck.
The event sponsor is responsible for all room set-ups.
Room capacities must not be exceeded.
Exits, fire alarms/extinguishers, aisles, corridors, hallways and staircases may not be obstructed.
INSURANCE
NC State entities:
NC State's Insurance & Risk Management works with student groups and other university partners to promote safe, responsible and successful events on campus. IRM staff is available to assist in reviewing event plans and insurance needs during the event- planning process. Student groups and uninsured outside groups may want to consider the TULIP program to fulfill the insurance obligation for their event.
Non-NC State entities:

CATERING
The event sponsor is responsible for arranging catering services and for ensuring clean-up and disposal of food after the event.

ALCOHOL SERVICE REGULATION (UNIVERSITY REG 04.20.02)
The event sponsor is responsible for complying with NC State University's Alcohol Regulation as well as county and state laws governing alcoholic beverages.
Alcoholic beverages may only be served for no more than 2 hours and may only be served after 5:00 p.m.
When serving alcohol, food items and non-alcoholic beverages must be served proportionate to attendance.
No alcoholic beverage other than beer or wine will be served or permitted at the event.
All alcoholic beverages must be served by a professional bartender.
No person under the age of 21 years will be served or allowed to possess or consume alcoholic beverages at the event. Proof of age may be required for any person requesting an alcoholic beverage. All guests are required to have a valid I.D. at events where alcohol is served.
The client must complete, sign and submit an Request for Permission to Serve Alcohol at least two weeks prior to the event so that it can be submitted to the Dean of Wilson College of Textiles for approval. Send the completed form to Donna Bouffard (dlabatie@ncsu.edu) for approval and signature.
PARKING
The event sponsor is responsible for obtaining parking permits and providing their participants with parking instructions.
All vehicles on Centennial Campus must have a "C" level parking permit.
Anyone without a parking permit or anyone parking in a space not designated as "C" parking is subject to a parking ticket.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
If NC State University is closed due to inclement weather, no events will be held at the Textile Complex. However, whenever possible, we may be able to delay and/or reschedule your event.
