University Overview:

North Carolina State University (NCSU), also known as NC State, is a world-renowned public research university located in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.

Adjacent to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University, the campus is within a half-hour drive of any other university or local airport. The area is part of the renowned Research Triangle Park, which has the highest concentration of doctoral professionals in the United States. It boasts biotechnology centers, incubators, research and development facilities, and service centers. The park attracts numerous large enterprises to establish research units, with surrounding factories providing ample employment opportunities for the three universities. The Research Triangle Park also attracts a large number of high-tech talents, making it one of the three major research centers in the United States alongside Stanford Industrial Park and Texas Research Park. Scientific research projects in the Research Triangle Park account for 24% of important scientific research projects in the United States.

Laboratory Overview:

Our laboratory is affiliated with the Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University (NCSU CVM). NCSU CVM is one of the best veterinary schools in the United States (consistently ranked in the top 5 by US NEWS). It has advanced laboratory equipment, medical devices, and a wide range of animal models (including mice, rabbits, cats, dogs, pigs, cows, and horses), as well as numerous clinical experts. NCSU CVM has vast and potential research goals and serves as an important site for translational research.

Located in the NCSU CVM campus, laboratory members can easily communicate with clinical veterinarians, closely monitor all animal models' conditions, and propose valuable innovative ideas and strategies for implementation.

The goal of our laboratory is to continuously innovate and advance medical practice. Members are required to possess solid foundational scientific knowledge and skills while understanding the theories and methods of clinical research. Research areas include biomaterials, tissue engineering (such as wound healing, intestinal repair, bone regeneration, etc.), precision drug delivery, translational medicine, and artificial intelligence. Our laboratory's research philosophy is to embrace advanced technologies worldwide, pursue groundbreaking scientific discoveries and creations, and ultimately develop research products to meet clinical needs.
