NCSU MS PACK 254 10F
With the Wolfpack Roundup sale offering multiple breeds of cattle of varying ages across three consigners it’s typically a challenge to determine the sale order and designate a lot 1. That simply was not the case this year as there’s nothing typical about 10F. Here’s a huge opportunity to buy into the heart of our Hereford program. 10F has earned her American Hereford Association Dam of Distinction status while successfully working in our donor program. 10F daughters have worked great in production and sons have been easy to sell. Sells with bull calf at side, born on March 6th, sired by /S MENTOR 22023 ET. If you need more convincing that this is the kind of female it takes to make improvements in the breed, check out her daughter 02M selling as lot 5.
Seller retains the right to one successful flush at buyer’s convenience and seller’s expense.
NCSU MS PACK 254 10F Flush

NCSU MS PACK CAT 648 08K
REG #: AHA 44336970
Three-year-old Hereford female with a long career ahead of her, 08K’s pedigree is a unique combination of CRR 719 Catapult 109 and NJW 73S W18 Hometown 10Y ET. Genomic-enhanced EPD’s and tested free of all known genetic defects. Bred to our up-and-coming herd sire Innisfail Harvest 23K for an early May calf
NCSU MS PACK BALLISTA 28F 09K
This one checks all the boxes, high quality young female with a good set of feet and legs. A direct daughter of CRR 719 Catapult 109, out of the NCSU 541 cow family. We lost the 541-donor cow last year, making this one of the last offerings out of that cow family. Bred for a late April calf sired by either Innisfail Harvest 23K or GHGF Fair Play 5J4 ET.
NCSU MISS PACK 756 35G
Productive proven Hereford female that hasn’t missed. Calved on March 1st with an 84 lb. baldy bull calf sired by GHGF Fair Play 5J4 ET (AMGV 1547896). Great pair to turn out on spring grass. Genomic-enhanced EPD’s and tested free of all known genetic defects.
NCSU MISS CHARACTER 10F 02M ET
Character daughter out of the 10F donor cow that’s featured as lot 1. She’s by some margin the stoutest Hereford female we’ve ever raised. We believe that this heifer could be a big hit at the Hereford Southeast Regionals, but more importantly go back and make a great breeding piece. Genomic-enhanced EPD’s and tested free of all known genetic defects. Seller retains the right to one successful flush to be completed at buyer’s convenience and seller’s expense.
NCSU MISS KINGDOM 23J 08M
08M’s sire CHURCHILL KINGDOM 128J ET, is one of the hottest bulls in the Hereford breed and it’s easy to see why. Good footed, sound struc- tured with an incredible, balanced set of numbers. Genomic-enhanced EPD’s and tested free of all known genetic defects.

Star Fives have gained some incredible interest over the last several years; the NCSU Beef Production system has rolled out a multiyear research project to investigate the advantages of heterosis and hybrid vigor using Santa Gertrudis bulls. With all the hype, we thought we would go ahead and try it for ourselves. 10M combines the legendary Santa Gertrudis bull RED DOC NEVER SANK 5012 back on a daughter of the time tested Sensation 028X. This heifer makes us believe all the hype these cattle are receiving is true
NCSU MS PACK 311 59H
The kind of Angus female that you love to see in the front pasture and raises calves that help pay the bills. Sells with a GHGF Fair Play 5J4 ET (AMGV 1547896) heifer calf at side. Calf born on March 3rd weighing 75 lbs. Calf will be 28% Gelbvieh and can be registered as a Balancer with the American Gelbvieh Association at the buyer’s request.
Commercial
Mature Angus female that has had a successful career working in both the purebred and crossbred sector at the beef unit. With the hottest cattle market in history, don’t miss the opportunity to add another heavy baldy calf to next year’s crop.
Commercial
REG #: AAA 19198743
76K’s a month younger than her contemporaries, but she’s a fancy rig with a proven cow behind her. If you haven’t noticed the theme in the Baldy heifers we can lay it out for you, commercial females from proven cow families that can go home and work.
Commercial Baldy
TAG #: 49F
With a shortage of baldy bred heifers to sell this year we decided to dip into the cowherd to help meet the demand for the F1 Baldy. A rare opportunity to capitalize on the baldy advantage in a proven package. Another female that’s calved every year in a 45-day window and just keeps breeding back. With high cattle prices, she’s almost as good as a printing press.
NCSU Miss Worth 239 53L
Purposefully made to add muscle to an Angus cow family that has stood the test of time. 53L’s dam just preg-checked safe again at 14 years old. Being sired by the historic SAV Net Worth 4200, 53L won’t catch the attention of breeders chasing the hottest trends, but cattlemen that are in it for the long haul won’t let this one pass by. This is a heifer who from conception we never intended to sell, but we can’t keep them all.
NCSU Miss Exclusive 51G 58L
With an interest in making the kind of females that work year in and year out, we bred a large cross section of Angus cows to Musgrave 316 Exclusive. We’re excited to offer up one of the best heifers that resulted from that decision. After Genomics 58L is in top 20% of the breed for weaning weight and 25% for yearling weight.
HOTTIE 16F 65L
When we made the move to incorporate the Gelbvieh breed at the beef unit, there was a sole focus on generating productive females that stay in the herd. 65L is the result of that commitment; her pedigree is a proven combination between GHGF Shear Force 81A and FMGF Blue’s Impact 001X. Shear Force 81A was on loan to us from Green Hills and was breeding cows at 10 years old. Blue’s Impact 001X is still breeding at 14. An opportunity to cancel out the noise and buy what works.
NCSU 69L
69L stacks together two of the most prominent cow families at the Unit with a shot of the female maker FMGF Blue’s Impact 001X. Bred to the Angus bull that has solidified his role as the calving ease specialist at the Beef Unit Cravens Exponential 2213.
NCSU 72L
A Shear Force daughter that traces back to the 311 Angus cow family that has been a mainstay in our program. Expect this heifer to have some added size, and let her calves smash the scales down for years to come.
NCSU 78L
The next generation of another proven cow family, check out her mother selling as lot 10.
NCSU 81L
REG #:AMGV1591397
Big stout powerful female, that’s actually one of the youngest in the bred heifer offering, but you can’t tell by looking at her. If you haven’t picked up on the theme yet, heifers backed by productive cow families whose calves should have plenty of growth.
MISS FORCE 08E 82L
We thought so much of 82L last year at weaning, we decided to keep her as her mother’s replacement, selling the 08E cow last year was not an easy decision, unfortunately we can’t keep them all. Don’t miss this great female come sale day.
COMMERCIAL BALDY
TAG #: 74L
The only fall bred, F1 baldy heifer to be offered in this year’s sale. We clean up a group of fall cows each year with the intention of providing a robust F1 baldy line up for the sale: however, even we at the University haven’t figured out how to turn those bull calves into heifers. If you’re in the market for Baldy females this one’s worth the trip to Raleigh.
COMMERCIAL DAIRY-X
TAG #: 48L
A unique opportunity for the progressive cattlemen with an ET program or the commercial cattlemen that knows it takes milk to grow those big calves. Lots 21 and 22 are the result of the beef on dairy program (Angus x Holstein), heifers were drafted on to fall calving cows at a young age and raised out in the pasture. Both lots are confirmed safe to CRAVENS EXPONENTIAL 2213 for early September calves.
