Task: Students will conduct research and collect data/statistical facts that relates to the group's guiding questions for all other topics. Students will determine the strength and validity of sources, the use of data/statistics for supporting points of view and using data/statistics to persuade. Students use their data/statistics to write statements that connect the data to the group's role and the Guiding Questions. Statements and data representations should be represented in the history tri-fold, science poster, & foreign language outcome. They will also need to use data/statistics in the panel discussion.
Important Dates:
Checkpoint 2 (October 19) Individual Research Document needs to be completed by this date.
Checkpoint 3 (October 26) Science Collected Data Group Document and the Group Data Summary Document need to be completed by the end of the school day.
Rough Draft Due Date (November 1) Group Data needs to be integrated into Science, World History and/or Foreign Language Portions of the project. Work is due at the beginning of the school day so that we may complete a peer review and focus on improvement.
