Hello! I am a fourth year student at North Carolina State University pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Science with a Chemistry concentration and a minor in Environmental Education.
I am passionate about science and media literacy and ensuring a safe space for all students to learn. I would like to share in the love of spreading knowledge and providing a consistent environment to learn and adapt into what the future needs from its growing leaders. My biggest hope is that students leave my classroom feeling heard and validated in their ability to take up space in a scientifically-driven academic setting.
I am a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, the 2025 President of the NCSU Chapter of the National Science Teaching Association, a member of the NCSU Student North Carolina Association of Educators, an NCSU Student Ambassador, and a Research Assistant for the NSF-funded SIMIRS project through the NCSU College of Education. Through these organizations, I have had the opportunity to attend a wide variety of professional development events and conferences, including the 2023/2024/2025 Color of Education Summit, SCI-Ren, an NCSTA PDI, and more!
