Whether you are new to Moodle, would like to refresh or refine your knowledge & skills, or are looking for best practices for maintaining your Moodle course, this event is for you!

WolfWare Boot Camp is intended to be a full day, in-person experience, where attendees will receive an overview of NC State's WolfWare academic technologies, with a focus on the technical and course design aspects of Moodle , with your choice of a more in-depth look at the other technologies available.

Getting Started with Panopto

Are you looking to create videos to enhance your course and improve the learning experience for your students? Panopto is an all-inclusive video management platform for creating, hosting, and editing videos and provides everything you need in one easy-to-use tool. If you are new to Panopto, you will want to join us for this interactive session to help you quickly get started on using Panopto. This Panopto Basics workshop is designed for beginner users and will focus on how to use Panopto’s most commonly used features, including browser-based recording, video upload, options for sharing videos, and how to organize and manage the content library.

Grade Math and Science Assignments more Efficiently with Gradescope

Gradescope is an online grading tool that can speed up and streamline grading, improve grading consistency and transparency, and help instructors provide more meaningful feedback to students. In this session we will cover how to create an online or paper based assignment or assessment, how to create a grading rubric for each question and grade uploaded or online assignments. We will also include information on how to link Gradescope with Moodle for easy gradebook integration.

Best Practices for Designing Your Moodle Course

Join us as we explore some best practices for teaching in Moodle for online, blended and face-to-face courses. We will review example courses, and discuss tips and strategies for structuring content using various Moodle tools.

In this session you will learn the basics about Zoom, NC State’s web conferencing and synchronous course meeting tool. This workshop is for users who would like to learn more about navigating the Zoom web portal and desktop client; selecting settings; scheduling a secure meeting; and basic hosting tools during a meeting.
