I am a historian by training, and I am interested in puzzles that can help us understand history after empire. My language skills (Arabic, Moroccan Darija, and French) and international experience orients my geographical focus to Morocco and the Tamazgha region.
I graduated from Manhattan College (The Bronx, NY) in May 2023 with a B.A. in History and International Studies. From August 2023 through June 2024, I lived and learned in Morocco under a Fulbright Student Research Grant. In Morocco, I intensively studied Modern Standard Arabic and Moroccan Darija at Roots Academy (Rabat, Morocco). Additionally, I researched the colonial history of Ifrane, and I taught Modern United States History at the American Language Centers in Rabat and Fes. Following, I was an Arabic Camp Counselor at Al-Waha, an intensive language summer camp by Concordia Language Villages (Bemidji, MN).
I am currently pursuing a Masters of International Studies (MIS) at North Carolina State University (Raleigh, NC), where I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant. I expect to graduate in May 2026.
