Collaboration with the North Carolina School for the Deaf
The NCSU Biotechnology Program and NC School for the Deaf (NCSD) have formed a collaboration to provide experience with biotechnology techniques to high school students. Each Spring semester NCSD students and teachers travel to NCSU campus while every Fall semester NCSU BIT instructors travel to the NCSD campus in Morganton, NC. Each visit covers a unique topic in biotechnology and focuses mainly on hands-on student activities. Topics and activities from previous semesters can be found below:
