We surveyed Crowder County Park’s biodiversity using electrofishing, minnow trapping, audio recorders, trail cameras, and coverboards to compile a list of herpetofauna, fish, avian, and mammal species.
We delineated forest communities using the Classification of the Natural Communities of North Carolina (4th Approximation), and wetlands using soil augers, and soil and topography maps.
We monitored the water quality of Dutchmans Branch and an unnamed pond using a YSI meter, NC Department of Environmental Quality habitat surveys, and hands-on macroinvertebrate surveys.
