Below you will find instructions on how to access your MyPack Portal and NCSU email account, obtain your WolfPack One card (your student ID), and access the MPA Moodle project page.
Once you are admitted by both the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program and the Graduate School, you will be able to log into your MyPack Portal. MyPack Portal is a one-stop shop for your student account needs. You can log into the portal to register for classes, check grades, change your contact information, pay your bill, and accomplish many other student-related tasks.
If you have never logged into MyPack Portal, you will first need to change the default password. Follow the steps on the Unity Credentials page to change your password. After changing the default password (which can take up to an hour to process), you can log into MyPack Portal using the "Faculty/Staff/Student" section. If you still have trouble logging in, contact the OIT Help Desk.
Once you have established a residence in the Raleigh, NC area, please take a moment to update your local mailing address in MyPack Portal.
Sign up for Two-factor Authentication (2FA): Two-factor authentication gives an extra level of protection for your MyPack Portal and NCSU email accounts.
Register your wireless device(s) to the Nomad Wireless Registration System: this will allow you to access the NCSU wireless network without continuously being requested to sign in.
Enroll your devices in eduroam, which provides globally portable wireless service to students, staff, and faculty.
Sign up for WolfAlert notifications, NC State's emergency communication system, which shares timely and important messages (like crime warnings and inclement weather notifications) to the university community.
For additional technology help, please visit:
Office of Information Technology (OIT) - Procedures for Student Accounts
After you successfully log into MyPack Portal, you will also be able to access your new NCSU email address. To log into your new email, please visit gmail.ncsu.edu. The unity ID and password you recently established when logging into MyPack Portal are also used to access your email.
Your new email address format is: YourUnityID@ncsu.edu. For example, my Unity ID is mromick, and my email address is mromick@ncsu.edu.
All official University correspondence will be sent to your NCSU email, though you can elect to have your NCSU email forwarded to a different Gmail account (IT discourages this). This includes emails from the MPA Google Group, which sends out announcements about upcoming events, conferences, internships, and jobs.
You can go to Talley Student Union's Wolfpack One Card Office or visit their website to obtain your Wolfpack One card (i.e. your student ID card). Visit the Get Your Card page for more information and instructions.
As a student, this card allows you to, among other things,:
Make on-campus purchases through the All Campus debit account;
Workout at the gym; and,
Check out books from the library.
