About Us

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international business honor society open to students studying business and business-related disciplines. BGS was founded in 1913 and now has members throughout the US and more than 190 countries. 

Our Mission

• To encourage and honor academic achievement by business students.

• To connect students with Beta Gamma Sigma alumni and professional opportunities.

Beta Gamma Sigma's global headquarters extends membership invitations to sophomores, juniors, and seniors with GPAs in the top 10% of their classes and to graduate students with GPAs in the top 20% of their classes. 

All NC State students who accept an invitation to join Beta Gamma Sigma are automatically members of the NC State Chapter.  The Chapter encourages members to attend as many Chapter events as possible to reap the full benefits of their membership in Beta Gamma Sigma. The Chapter has no formal attendance requirements, however.

Joining NCSU's Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter means becoming a part of a vibrant network of over 130 high-achieving members. It's not just a resume booster, it's a way to grow academically, professionally, and socially.
