Hi! My name is Emily McGovern and I'm a PhD candidate at North Carolina State University under the supervision of Corey Jones. My research interests are broadly tensor categories and combinatorics: specifically solving problems arising in categorical algebra  using combinatorical techinques. My motivations often come from representation theory . I am also interested in scholarly teaching and have been an instructor of record for MA 305 (Introductory Linear Algebra and Matrices), MA 105 (Financial Mathematics) and MA 242 (Calculus III).  My expected graduation date is spring 2024.
