Hi! My name is Emily McGovern. I received my PhD at North Carolina State University  in May 2024 under the supervision of Corey Jones. My research interests are broadly tensor categories and combinatorics: specifically solving problems arising in categorical algebra  using combinatorial techinques. My motivations often come from representation theory . I am also interested in scholarly teaching and have been an instructor of record for MA 305 (Introductory Linear Algebra and Matrices), MA 105 (Financial Mathematics) and MA 242 (Calculus III).
