Extension Master Gardener College 2026
"Become a Pollinator Ambassador"
"Become a Pollinator Ambassador"
Wow—what an incredible response from NC State Extension Master Gardener℠ (EMG) volunteers! Registration for EMG College is now full.
We’re especially excited to offer a new hybrid format this year, and it’s been wonderful to see such enthusiasm for this approach. If you weren’t able to register this time, we hope you’ll join us for future opportunities, which will be posted on the EMG Intranet.
Everyone who is registered should have already received a confirmation email.
Through a combination of interactive webinars and a hands-on workshop, you’ll gain in-depth training on pollinator conservation—the top community need identified in our 2025 survey. Participants who fully engage in this hybrid experience will gain:
Knowledge of pollinator identification, biology, ecology, and conservation
Practical strategies for creating and managing pollinator habitat
Confidence to deliver research-based education and outreach that can make a meaningful impact in your community
By participating, you’ll be prepared to:
Support pollinator conservation and community science
Educate others about protecting pollinators
Expand pollinator habitat across North Carolina
EMG College 2026 is supported in part through an Extension Implementation Project Grant (project award no. 2024-70006-43553) titled “Addressing Stakeholder Needs for IPM Programming in NC” from the United States Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture. The project director is Danesha Seth-Carley.
Extension Master Gardener (EMG) College is hosted by the NC State Extension Master Gardener program in even-numbered years. This signature continuing education event brings together EMG volunteers, interns, students, emeriti, and Extension professionals from across North Carolina to learn, connect, and grow.
Participants gain research-based knowledge and practical skills they can take back to their communities through their service with N.C. Cooperative Extension—supporting healthy gardens, sustainable landscapes, and informed communities.
