I joined this organization my freshman year. By becoming a member, I was exposed to a plethora of networking, community, and service events mainly focused around school spirit. The Student Alumni Association provides many possibilities for involvement, both within the administration of the organization and participating in events for members.
I have been a part of this club since my freshman year, and enjoy opportunities to attend collegiate sporting events with a group of diverse students who share school spirit. This organization is focused on event attendance, but I have unintentionally met many acquaintances through this.
As a member of this electrical and computer engineering honor society, I was able to volunteer my time to helping tutor other students, participate in events, and connect with other students that had similar interests and goals. My induction was the result of being in the top 25% of ECE juniors at NC State and completing service tasks like tutoring.
I hope to gain more internship experience in the power systems or electronics industry, as this is currently what interests me most. This opportunity would diversify my perspectives and be important for becoming successful in my future career.
