Project: Automatic Chicken Coop Door Opener

Role: Primary designer

• Researching and designing a chicken coop door opener that will serve the natural needs of chickens, as well as provide convenience to owners, within the constraints given.

• Fostered team development and leadership skills through time management and task delegation.

• Participated in a more formal engineering design process for the first time, learning to consider each team member's ideas equally to improve the final design of the project.

• Improved my computer-aided design skills, learned about 3-D printing, and applied my skills in woodworking and using hand and power tools.
