What is FAFSA?
FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is a free form you can fill out every year to determine your eligibility for financial aid in college.
Why should I complete it?
Completing the FAFSA allows you to be considered for Pell Grants, Federal Student Loans, and Work-Study programs. Many colleges require you to fill out the FAFSA in order to award you additional financial aid. The sooner you complete your FAFSA the better. Most funds are First Come First Serve.
What Information do I need?
To complete the FAFSA you will need your social security number, your parent's social security number and tax information, list of colleges you are applying to, and income information. It is important to know that FAFSA uses a secure government based website. Your personal and finanical information is protected by privacy laws. The information they are asking for is already reported to the government. FAFSA will not steal or sell your information. For more questions please reach out to Ms. Moore.
