Do you know what happens to your recyclables once you put them in the bin or take them to the landfill? In this project, you will explore the heavy metals that are found in consumer electronics, whitegoods, and automobiles. You will research the element properties and the chemical processes involved in the recycling process for your waste stream to create a laboratory activity. Additionally, you will research global and local issues pertaining to recycling, and you will use ethical thinking as a lens for creating a bilingual public service announcement. You will investigate the costs and benefits of your recycling process and utilize your math skills to depict and explain your conclusions.

- Create Project Group Folder (IN NCSU)- titled (Recycling Project - Name1, Name2, Name3, Name4) and then share with Baldwin, Bagwell, Nantz, Gibbons, Parker, & Lupher. MAKE SURE YOU SHARE WITH NCSU NOOOOOOT WCPSS!!!
- Fill out Group Contract - Be sure to make a copy & put in your project group folder. Link: Group Contract
- Brainstorm Document - Create a Google Doc in your project folder and brainstorm ideas with your group for the project.
