During the COVID-19 pandemic, science was deemed a low priority and therefore not emphasized in the elementary school curriculum. This has caused severe deficiencies in the subject, especially in children who are now fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. Project STEMkits aims to work with teachers to mend these deficiencies through hands-on projects, a research-based teaching method.

"The benefits of Julianna's involvement have been immeasurable. By helping to integrate these STEM kits into our curriculum, she has made science more hands-on and interactive, which has significantly increased student engagement and curiosity. The students are now more excited about science and are developing essential skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. "
