Directors

Mr. Carroll, a 2001 North County alumnus, holds a Bachelors of Science in Music Education and a Masters of Educational Leadership from Evangel University in Springfield, MO. Mr. Carroll has met all requirements for K-12 vocal and instrumental music certification, as well as K-12 administration certification. He began his career in music education in 2007 and began teaching at North County in 2014. His major instruments are trumpet and euphonium. 

Mrs. Plyler graduated from University of Missouri- St. Louis in the spring of 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Music. She is certified to teach instrumental music K-12. Before being hired in the North County School District, Mrs. Plyler assisted with the Raider Regiment for 2 seasons and student taught in the district. Her major instruments are bassoon and saxophone. 

Ms. Helton holds a Bachelors in Instrumental Music Education from Missouri State University (Springfield, MO) and a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL). She is certified to teach K-12 Instrumental music and this is her 7th year teaching band. Along with being an educator, Ms. Helton also serves as a flute player in the 135th Army Band based out of Springfield, MO.
