My name is Robin Ward and I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with each of you this school year. You will be embarking on a new school year that will be different from all other years. Teaching can be challenging; yet so rewarding by watching your students grow and prosper. You will have good moments and you will have bad moments. But always remember to your students you are their "superhero" and they are counting on you to guide them on their path to success!
Brief biography: I was born and raised in Illinois. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2010. In August 2010, I traveled over 1,000 miles to come to the Eastern Shore of Virginia to teach; and it turned out to be the best decision of my life. I learned and grew as an educator in my 10 years of teaching experience in 5th and 6th grade. I also met many wonderful and encouraging teachers and community members; including my husband, A.J. Ward, who I met on a blind date. My husband and I have two beautiful daughters and an adorable dog. In 2020, I accepted the position of Coordinator of Professional Learning at NCPS and I am eager to help support teachers create an academically rich and safe learning environment.
I wish you a wonderful school year!
