Pride in Carolina is a non-profit agency currently operating the Pride SAAT program in Wilson, Edgecombe, and Nash Counties. Pride SAAT targets court involved youth who are 12-17 years old who have been identified as possessing high risk factors for gang involvement and/or substance abuse problems. The goal of the program is to reduce the risk of gang involvement and substance use. Through evidence based treatment, Pride SAAT offers youth and their families an opportunity to receive a thorough substance abuse assessment, outpatient therapy, substance abuse education, parenting skill development, and group therapy in their home communities. Pride SAAT also offers support for tattoo removal of tattoos representing illegal activities, gang representation, and/or substances. Pride SAAT can accommodate the Hispanic population.

This program serves as a residential placement for children who are not successful in their own home. The Emergency Foster Care Program provides foster care to children on an emergency 24-hour basis. The program serves adolescents between the ages of 10-17 who are referred to the program by the Juvenile Court Counselors or a Department of Social Services Social Worker. The average length of stay is 60-90 days.

It Starts with "U" Foundation, Inc. is a re-entry/transition organization providing comprehensive case management to ex-offenders. Youth ages 15-17 are referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. A case manager navigates the program participants with initial assessments, identification of needs/risks, linking youth to community resources, monitoring school attendance and achievement, advocating for the youth and families at school, and acting as a liaison to the Court Services office. Program hours are after school Monday-Thursday with periodical Saturday activities.

Therapeutic foster care is concerned with children who have special mental health needs in private homes, providing them with structure, interventions, care, and treatment. This service is provided by foster parents who are specially trained and licensed by the North Carolina Division of Social Services. Parents re trained and supported to design individual treatment strategies which help young people with mental health diagnoses, which range from ADHD and PTSD to developmental disabilities.

Impact Plus Program is a juvenile restitution program that allows youth ages 8-18 to complete community service placed upon them by the juvenile court system. The Impact Plus Program pays the restitution on the youth's behalf in exchange for additional community service hours. This program allows each youth the ability to "pay back" what they owe their communities regardless of their financial situation.

The Resolve It Together Program, developed by the Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina, is a family based conflict resolution program for at risk and court-referred youth and their guardians. Resolve It Together targets Edgeombe & Nash County youth ages 10-17 and their families referred by the Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention/Court Counselors, Department of Social Services, Guidance Counselors, Law Enforcement officers and parents.
