Military Family Advisory Council

Moore County Schools is committed to clear, accurate and transparent communication with our community. This commitment is partly realized through the establishment and sustaining work of a number of advisory councils that serve internal and external stakeholders of Moore County Schools. Advisory councils provide a network to share two-way communication and feedback to Moore County School Leadership.

ABOUT THE ADVISORY COUNCIL

The Military Family Advisory Council (MFAC) is one of five advisory councils in MCS and the only military parent advisory council in NC. The MFAC is comprised of volunteer military family members from each school acting as a point of contact for incoming and currently enrolled military-connected families. The purpose of the MFAC it to be a resource for military families to ask questions and find support, advocate on behalf of our military-connected students and collaborate with Moore County Schools to identify areas of support. The group's goal is to facilitate an open dialogue between military families and Moore County Schools resulting in programs and services that allow military-connected students to thrive emotionally and academically.

The group meets six times a year and is open to all military families. If you are interested in participating or learning more, please contact Rollie Sampson, District Military Liaison at rsampson@ncmcs.org. For more information including meeting times visit the MFAC Page on the MCS Website.
